News from the festive season – Bruce Botes

As we pack away Christmas decorations and fairy lights which adorned the hotel over the past few weeks, our dedicated team of staff can feel pride in the close of our 80th successful festive season at Cathedral Peak Hotel.

Christmas cheer was spread by all the children who took part in our annual nativity play and carols evening. Our Christmas Dinner was extra special being the Hotel’s official 80th Birthday. Pre-dinner drinks were served followed by the unveiling of the van der Riet family crest by William and Belinda van der Riet and family in Albert’s Bar. The final event in our festive season calendar was the New Year’s Eve feast with the traditional family speech made by Byron van der Riet. Our top class chefs served incredible buffet dinners for both occasions whilst Chris Jensen provided fantastic live entertainment. As always, it has been great to have our regulars back and to welcome first timers.

We would like to thank all those guests that contributed to our Pack for Purpose charity drive. The items donated have been distributed to those in need in our local valley.

In looking to the year ahead, we have some exciting specials coming up for Wedding, Conference and Leisure guests. Please keep a look out for our special mailers and Facebook updates.
